Meet Bill Decker

Bill Decker specializes in helping people financially prepare for retirement; what he calls the “fourth quarter of life.” He uses a holistic approach, managing clients’ finances for the big picture. “I help you combine your short- and long-term goals inside a plan, which I feel is a better approach than just going day to day, or ignoring distant future needs,” he says. With a fundamental use of both securities and insurance solutions, Bill’s focus is to help clients all over the country find ways to generate more retirement income and see how to securely protect their money during these turbulent times.

“Despite the current volatility in the world today, there are still strategies that you can put in place right now to help ensure that you do not run out of income in retirement, and can keep your money securely protected from future market downturns,” Bill says.

Bill holds Series 65, 63, 6, 7 securities registrations and he is Insurance licensed. He guides clients with recommendations that follow fiduciary requirements and independent advice based on each client’s values and goals, and not internal or incentivized products.

“By specializing in pre- and post-retirees, especially those in the retirement zone—which are the five years before and five years after leaving your job—the focus is to create a client/advisor relationship that provides a comprehensive step by step plan of action for you and what you need to do in the following areas: Cash Reserves, debt management, insurance, tax strategies, and asset allocations designed to make your life better today and for tomorrow,” he says.

“The most significant influence in my life has been my grandfather. While growing up, he used to take me to Yankee Stadium and see Yankee greats like Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munson, Ron Guidry, and many others. I loved spending my vacations with him at his home and family-owned restaurant where I got to see firsthand how a dream, hard work, effort, and discipline could provide very satisfying rewards. He taught me about coin collecting, the value of money, and dedication and persistence. All of these lessons and memories have lasted my lifetime and those same fundamentals and values that my grandfather taught me years ago still apply today and what I strive to bring to my clients today.”

Married to his wife, Kathy, since 1994, Bill is the proud father of Bradley and Brittney Decker and he is “humbled and grateful” to be the grandfather of the amazing Kehlani Rose Decker.
